The Goal:
To restore the historic Wilson Czech Opera House which was destroyed by fire in 2009. Restoration will convert the space into an Open Air Theatre , supporting community events, arts, music, heritage, tourism, and improve the historic district aesthetics.
The Wilson Czech Opera House is located in the heart of America, in Ellsworth County,Kansas.

Opera House receives $100,000 grant!
Wilson Czech Opera House was awarded $100,000 from the Kansas Department of Commerce's SPRINT (State Park Revitalization Investment in Notable Tourism) grant. Wilson was one of 18 awardees and was the smallest community to be awarded. This $100,000 will get the fence down, allowing us to become a notable tourist destination and drive additional traffic into Wilson and the surrounding communities.
